Jeff Quinn, lead vocals/rhythm guitar/bass/drums, has been playing in bands almost all his life. Starting with his parents when he was only 3 years old. His dad, Tony, bought him his first instrument...a drum set. At the ripe old age of 8, he was playing in the clubs with his parents. At 12, he got his first guitar and started playing and singing in his local church. He learned to sing harmony from his mother, Marcella, and developed what he calls, "family style harmony". Jeff has been to Nashville and was told that he had great talent, but family responsibilities and job commitments kept him from conquering the world through Nashville, so he decided to conquer Northwest Arkansas and is thrilled to do so. Lucky for us! Together with his cousin Tod, they have a vision to take Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding areas by storm.
Marty McNeal, lead guitar/vocals, a Fayetteville native, Marty joined the band in February 2005. After spending time in the 80's on a circuitous road that covered much of the U.S. as well as British Columbia, Marty settled again in Northwest Arkansas to raise a family. He went from screaming guitars to screaming kids. The early 90's brought the realization of supporting that young family, and live playing was limited to acoustic lullabies for his 3 kids, some of whom still suffer nightmares as a result. By 2003 it was time to play live again, but ten years out of the loop meant most contacts had moved on and by early 2005 it became necessary to post the unfortunate "music store ad" to find musicians. As luck would have it, contact with Jeff Quinn occurred that very same day, ironically from another "music store ad", and the rest is, like they say, history.
Tod Clark , bass/guitar/vocals, has also been playing most of his life. Cousin to Jeff, they remember playing music together off and on when they were kids. At a young age, Tod began playing guitar in a band he helped form while in high school. After graduation, he started playing the club circuit in the Northwest part of the U.S. After several years on the road, he settled down and started playing locally only. During this time he began playing bass and even some drums and keyboards. Soon after relocating to Northwest Arkansas, he started jamming with local acts and finally through a chain of events was able to link up with Jeff to form Quinntalkin. So again, Tod and Jeff are playing music together, and loving every minute of it.
